Mosquito - The Story So Far - Part 11

Mosquito produced vocalist Elliott plays 1st gig at Bullet Bar, Kentish Town.

Tracks played: Painting By Numbers, I Will Have You, I'll Miss You, Space, Sunshine. Rob's beautiful vocals seem to go down well.

First airing of Mosquito's titles and incidental music for CBBC's classic Art show, "SMart", airing on Wednesday's BBC1 and Sunday's BBC2, presented by Mark Speight.


August 2007

Mosquito's Club favourite "Get Dirty" featuring Rob Elliott, is chosen for Five's Promo campaign for Courtney Cox's US hit "Dirt". It features for 2 months on Five most nights.

First airing of Mosquito's incidental music for "Totally Dr Who" CBBC's spin off show from the World famous BBC show "Doctor Who" starring David Tennant.
Matt's incidental music can be heard throughout the show on Friday evenings on BBC1.

Mosquito Music is heard all over the World quite literally, as Matt composes the title theme and incidental music for Emirates Airlines in flight entertainment channels, on all their flights.




December 2006

Mosquito open Spreadshirt store with Tee Shirts, Sweatshirts and other goods featuring the funky Mosquito logo designed by Rod Hunt.

Mosquito - The Story So Far - Part 6


November 2006

Matt begins a long term collaboration with young and talented soulful singer, Dean Lennon, firstly composing and producing a number of tracks for a boyband called "Digital" featuring Dean, along with Baz, Josh, Charlie and Ian.


"Digital" and Mosquito's 1st success is the placement of "Digital's" Electro 80's reworking of "San Frandisco" on CD Pool's November Dance compilation, alongside Madonna and Janet Jackson's latest tracks, and the hottest underground Club cuts.
The Digital boys go on to perform successfully at Popshow, a showcase of new Pop acts at the Soho Revue Bar, London, and across the UK. Unfortunately they disband due to personal issues as management and record labels show an interest.
The collaboration between Matt and Dean continues.
September 2006
Mosquito chosen as finalist in the X-Press 2 "Kill 100" remix competition, and given a Web release of their version. With Combined download sales, Mosquito, help X-press 2 reach No 6 in the UK Dance chart.

25th August 2005

First airing of Mosquito's cutting egde, sound design, title theme for "Blast Friday", a youth Arts show on BBC2. Producer Gilly Longton wanted a piece of music that didn't adhere to a conventional musical form, and Matt enjoyed the freedom this gave him.


Mosquito - The Story So Far - Part 4

10th March 2006

First airing of Mosquito's title theme and incidental music for ITV2's "Testdrive My Girlfriend". Matt was asked to compose a 50's Kitsch sounding title theme, and called upon the vocal talents of Mitch Stevens. Mitch is a top vocalist who's toured with amongst others, St Etienne, Dannii Minogue, and provided vocals on many well known tracks.



Mosquito - The Story So Far - Part 3

24th September 2005

First airing of Mosquito's title theme and incidental music for "Jordan and Peter: Marriage and Mayhem". The show gains 1.5 million viewers, ITV2's highest ever viewing figures.

Airs for eight weeks, eventually transfers to ITV1 for entire series, and is then sold to E Entertainment Channel in USA.

"(Who's) Watching Me" gets a repeat play on The Remix, and discussions start about releasing it on an independent label.

Al Jamieson of "Ambush Management" part of the 19 Group decides to take on "San Frandisco" to gain record deal

Pringles ad airs to 16 million viewers during live final of "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here"
